A Jewel--the Nova

You got to see her in the last post. I've been busy preparing a quilting lesson using the Nova. Once she was oiled and lubed, she purrs like a kitten. I am so enjoying this machine. It's almost time for Easter. I'm making the boys in the family two bunnies and some fabric carrots to decorate the house. I've been working on some redwork bunnies for a wall hanging and will have that done soon.
Another sewing machine acquisition is a Bernette 200. It's made by Pfaff for Bernina. It truly is a Pfaff in all ways. Sturdy, well built and well cared for machine. It too, purrs like a kitten. I feel so blessed to have found these machine and will enjoy the beejeezus out of them. I made up the word beejeezus. I like it and it confounds all spell checkers. :)  Love that. I'll post a picture soon of the Bernette 200. It was made in 1988. A little younger than the Nova who probably was born in 1983.
Are you having traditional ham for Easter dinner? We're adding carrot cake with cream cheese frosting to the menu and probably fresh strawberry ice cream for the kidlets. Vegetables will be decided upon later but we are doing Paula Deen's pineapple casserole. It's wicked but we have it once a year and love it to pieces. Trust me, it's worth the calories, well worth it.
